The historic location in Gronau and Epe
Epe without Scheper’s Water Mill? Simply inconceivable. It was first mentioned in a document in 1346 and was long owned by the Counts of Bentheim. It first came into the possession of the Scheper family in 1856. For most of its history, it was used as a corn mill, fulling mill and oil mill. For generations, the corn mill on “Dinkel” Creek was the Scheper family’s primary source of income.
The romantic mill garden right on the old system of locks provides an ideal setting for a champagne reception in the summertime or a beautiful, one-of-a-kind garden party.
The historic water mill has two stories with an original ambiance and plenty of room for celebrations.
The Scheper’s Mill ensemble with its idyllic grounds is also ideal for events and company parties.
